TaxTrack Privacy Policy

TaxTrack is a privacy-first app for tracking state presence days. This policy explains what data TaxTrack uses and how it is handled.
TaxTrack may process:
- Precise location (from your device) to determine which U.S. state you are in.
- Dates and state presence entries generated automatically or added manually by you.
- App settings (for example: home state, appearance mode, custom thresholds, dashboard order).
We use information only to provide app functionality:
- Track state-day presence.
- Show yearly totals and state-level threshold progress.
- Enable history, manual entry, missing-date recovery, and export features.
3. Storage and Retention
- TaxTrack stores your data locally on your device.
- TaxTrack does not require an account.
- TaxTrack does not operate a backend service for storing your trip/location history.
- You can delete your app data from within the app.
4. Sharing and Selling
TaxTrack does not sell your personal information. TaxTrack does not share your tracked state/day data with data brokers or advertising networks.
5. Tracking and Advertising
- No third-party ad SDKs are used.
- TaxTrack is not designed for cross-app tracking.
6. Permissions
TaxTrack requests location permission so it can detect state presence, including while the app is in the background when enabled by you.
You can change permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
7. Children’s Privacy
TaxTrack is not directed to children under 13. If you believe data was provided by a child, contact us and we will work with you on deletion steps.
8. Security
TaxTrack relies on iOS platform protections and local device storage controls. No security measure is perfect, but we aim to minimize risk by limiting data collection and external transmission.
9. Your Choices
You can:
- Disable location access in iOS Settings.
- Add/edit/delete entries in app.
- Delete all app data from the Settings screen.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date.
